I was having trouble sleeping in the airport so I decided to go get some food before my flight.  Earlier I had seen a place with real Korean food.  So I thought I would eat there because I didn't fly halfway around the world to eat subway (which was right next to it).  Anyone that knows me well knows that I am not a very adventurous eater, but I decided that while on this trip I am going to try all kinds of food.  So looking at the menu I decided not to get the national dish of kimchi soup (kimchi is fermented cabbage), but instead decided to get the spicy beef soup.  I thought this would be a safer introduction to Asian food.  It sounded completely normal to me.  Soup with noodles and beef.  What could go wrong?  Well I knew I was in trouble when the lady called me to pick up my soup and the broth was neon red in color.  This had to be one of the spiciest foods I have ever had.  It was delicious, but man am I paying the price for it.  It is 20 minutes later and I still can't close my mouth because it hurts when my lips touch each other.  Also everytime I breathe I feel like a dragon spitting out fire.  I don't even want to think about the battle I am going to have later when the food reaches the other end.  But all in all it was very good.  The only other problem I had was using the chopsticks.  I know how to use chopsticks or at least I thought I did.  I have never tried to eat soup with chopsticks so that was challenge.  The noodles were all wet and slippery.  The steam from the soup was also making the metal chopsticks slippery so I had trouble holding on to them.  I think that was the longest meal I ever had.  Normal I eat in like 5 minutes.  It took me like 20 to 25 minutes to eat the soup.  I had a spoon, but I was stubborn and wanted to use the chopsticks like the locals.  I will have to keep practicing so I don't feel like a 3 year trying to eat.
