That's Interesting
Today is August 13 and I went to the 1st National Congress of the Communist Party Of China (CPC). It is a monument and museum of where they held there congress sessions. I did not realize that China was still communist (sorry I don't follow politics very much). I thought it was interesting to see what they had to say about the subject and from their point of view. To them they felt it was the only way to get rid of foreign influences and unite all of China successfully. I wasn't allowed to take pictures inside, but this is what the outside of the building looked like..jpg)
Inside they held all kinds of meetings that led to the successful rise of the CPC in China. The CPC is still the only recognized political party in China, but now it is being influenced by captialism. But communism can still be seen here. For example, I facebook and other social sites are blocked here. I can't even go on my own website. I can update it, but I can't look at the real thing. Which is why I can't check the comments page. Anyways after that we went to a museum for propaganda posters it had a lot of interesting posters in there. You weren't suppose to take pictures either, but I had to show you something so here you go..jpg)
Hopefully you will chip in to bail me out of prison for bringing you forbidden pictures. Check out how the Chinese and North Korean soldiers are shown dominating the US soldiers. On our way back from the museum my friend Greg and I stopped at a local little hole in the wall restuarant for lunch..jpg)
The food was delicious and cheap. We paid about $3.50 for 2 large noodle dishes. It is a little family run business with dad making noodles, son cooking the noodles, mom cooking the sauces and stuff, and sister serving and taking orders. As you can see the noodles were hand made..jpg)
One dish was sweet with tomatoes, greens, egg, and round noodles. The dish shown here had unidentifiable pieces of chicken, bell peppers, a spicy sauce, and flat noodles..jpg)
