Hey all so this past weekend we went to the Philippines so I could meet Ronna's Family.  We had a great time.  Everyone was so nice to me and we ate lots of good food.  Here are some of the pictures from our trip.  On Saturday night they had a potluck at Ronna's house and a lot of her family showed up (which is easy for many of them since her house is in a complex of four houses that all house different family members.  Anyways, here are the pictures.

This is a picture of her immediate family and some of her aunts and uncles.  Her dad, Ronny, is on the bottom left and her mom, Frosie, is in the rainbow shirt second to the left on the top row.

Here is her sister, Rachelle, holding her niece and two of her cousins.

Here is another group photo.

This is Ronna and I with her brother, Randell, and her sister, Rachelle.

This is her niece, Sophie, with Ken Ken and Daniella, her cousins.  Ken Ken is one of her favorites and he is such a nice boy.

More cousins.

Ken Ken devouring a chicken leg.  On Sunday we went to two malls and church in Manila with her mom, sister, and some other family members.

Here we are at Trinoma Mall eating Taco Bell for lunch.  Yes Taco Bell.  :)

Ken Ken loves basketball as you can tell.  Actually basketball is the most popular sport in the Philippines.

Here is Ronna's mom and sister on the escalator.

Ken Ken posing.  Ken Ken reminds me of Manny from Modern Family.  He is so mature for his age sometimes.  He is only 9, but acts older sometimes.  Like when we were leaving for the airport he was crying quite a bit.  Ronna asked me to talk to him and try to calm him down.  So when I went to him he stuck out his hand while sobbing and said it was a pleasure to meet you.  Remember this is only a 9 year old boy.  He is so cute.  I really liked him a lot.

Here we are in the rented van that we used to get around.

This is Baclaran Church.  One of the biggest churchs in Manila.  Also the place we attended mass.

Here we are having dinner at the Mall of Asia, which is the 2nd largest mall in Asia.  It was the first until China built a bigger one like they always do.  Finally on Monday we went to Tagaytay for lunch and to see the volcano inside the lake.  Yahoo also just named the lake on of the top 10 prettiest lakes in the world.

So here we are eating at Dencio's Resto which overlooks the volcano.  This is Ronna with her Ninong and Ninang, which are godparents.

Here we are out back of the resto which overlooks the volcano.  Unfortunately it was foggy and raining at the time, but the weather let up just long enough to see the volcano and get a few pictures.  The next 3 pictures will be of the volcano with each shot getting closer and closer.

Far away view.

Partially zoomed in view.

And finally the fully zoomed in view of the volcano.  This is where we want to get married in the Philippines.  We are looking for a garden venue that overlooks the volcano and the lake.  Well this was our trip in a nutshell.
