I have been back in Penang, Malaysia for a few days now.  I am back with my friends.  Nothing new or special has been going on over here other than preparing for Deepavali (a Hindu holiday - kind of like their version of Christmas).  Tomorrow is Deepavali so they are having a Deepavali Eve dinner and prayers with the immediate family.  Yesterday we went to a similar party with my friend's mom's family.  Hopefully my camera will allow me to get some photos to show you of the celebrations in the next few days.  The only other excitement around here was a few days ago when my friend's wife rear-ended another car (which is very common around here).  She is okay, but the car has a good amount of damage to it.  So we have been running around dealing with the whole car situation and buying stuff for Deepavali.  I did get to go to the local police department when they filled out a report of the accident.  It was kind of interesting to see how government works in a different place.  Well less than a week until I am home.  So see you soon.
