Hey all.  I am doing great here in Singapore.  I just watched the SDSU Aztec game yesterday morning.  What a tough loss.  But I am so proud of what they have been able to accomplish.  I can only imagine how exciting it must have been in San Diego to watch them.  I am very excited to see what the future holds for the program as it has been getting better and better each year.  So anyways, GREAT JOB AZTECS!!!  Today I will be changing rooms after church.  We will be moving across the hallway to a nicer room.  I will post some pictures of the room after we get it all set up.  I am so glad we stayed in the same apartment.  It is a really great location and my housemates are very nice (and all friends of Ronna's).  Last night we went to a farewell party for one of our old housemates.  She moved back to the Philippines today.  This seems to be very common here.  SIngapore is a very international city as you have lots of foreign workers coming and going all the time.  It kind of reminds me of Hawaii.  When I lived in Hawaii I noticed that people were constantly coming and going off the island.  In fact I myself only lasted a year, but a what a wonderful year it was.  So it was sad to see her go, but that is life around here.  You never know how long someone will be around.  Other than that I am just waiting for my work visa.  It should be about another 3 weeks or so until I find out anything.  So I am just living normal life.  I have seen tons of movies lately (I see 2 movies a week).  I see 1 by myself during the week and one with Ronna on Friday night (that is our date night).  I recently saw World Invasion: Battle LA (very good action movie, but not going to win any awards), Diary of a Wimpy Kid (if you liked the first one you will like this one - it was good, but a bit familiar), and Suckerpunch (this was a very unique movie - I thought it was trying to hard to be cool and therefore was not that good, it was okay).  The most interesting thing we did all week was go see a show on Sentosa Island.  One of our housemates who works at Resort World on Sentosa gave us some free tickets to see Voyage De La Vie.  Sentosa is a small island south of Singapore.  It belongs to Singapore and is like a couple of hundred feet away from Singapore.  So you can drive across the bridge, take a bus or taxi, ride the monorail, or take the cable cars to get to Sentosa.  Sentosa is basically one big tourist trap.  It is filled with all kinds of stuff for tourist to do.  Sentosa has a resort, golf course, casino, Universal Studios, lots of shops, parks, beaches, and plenty of other attractions for tourists.  So we went to see Voyage De La vie last night.  The show is a mixture of music, dancing, contortioning, magic, gymnastic, and a bunch of other types of entertainment.  Supposedly it has a story to tie it all together, but I couldn't follow it.  It was an interesting show, but a bit pricey.  They tickets we got were around $100SGD.  But to be fair everything in Singapore and especially Sentosa is expensive.  So was the show good?  Yes.  Is it worth paying for?  Not really unless you like those kinds of shows and you have the money to pay for it.  That being said I am not saying I didn't enjoy it.  I enjoyed it very much I just don't think it was worth the price, but for free it was great.  Sorry, but I wasn't able to take pictures as they didn't allow it at the show.  I would have taken some pictures of Sentosa at least, but in the rush to get ready I forgot my camera.  I am very excited as I get my Nintendo 3DS in 2 weeks when my first group of visitors comes to visit.  During there visit we will be going to Tioman Island, Malaysia for a long weekend.  Tioman is a beautiful tropical island with nice beaches.  Then in about 5 weeks from now our second group of visitors will be arriving.  During that visit we will be taking a long weekend to Krabi, Thailand (the place I stayed at for 5 weeks during my backpacking adventures).  So I am excited to see the visitors and to take the long weekends.  So stay tuned as I will definitely have pictures and things to blog about when the visitors come.  So that was basically my week.  Blog to you later.
