King Of Cambodia

I just got to Cambodia and I feel like the King of Cambodia. But first look at the airport.

That is Southeast Asia for you. It is totally different from China. You can tell the difference as soon as you get off the plane. The view from the plane was one of jungle and greenery with traditional Khmer style buildings in the middle of it all. I know I am going to enjoy Southeast Asia a lot. It is just such a relaxed place. So anyways back to being king of Cambodia. I exchanged my leftover Chinese money (maybe $300) and all of a sudden became a million in Cambodia money. I got back 1,029,708 Riel. Unfortunately that doesn't mean much as the exchange rate is about $3,000 to 1 Riel. For example, a $2 scooter ride from the airport to my hotel was $8,000 Riel. So I guess being a millionaire is not all that it is cracked up to be. The hotel I am staying in is amazing. It is a 4-star hotel for $20 a night. Just look at the pictures.

For dinner I had Sichuan Spicy Beef and Angkor beer (local).

It was a good meal, but not as cheap as China. At least a lot of people speak English here and they are super nice. In fact as I was on the scooter to my hotel a guy on another scooter drove up next to me and starting talking to me. Well I am off to the pool and Angkor Wat tomorrow.
