Moving On Up

Today is moving day. I am moving from my standard room to a deluxe sea view room. Why? Because when I booked the hotel they did not have any standard rooms available for the next 5 days so I had to make 3 separate reservations to cover the entire month. So for the next few days I get to stay in a bigger, nicer room with an ocean view and I can even hear the ocean. Here is my room.

Here is the view of the balcony from my room.

Once I step onto the balcony I am treated to views like this.

I am really going to enjoy the next few days. I love the sound of the water hitting the shore. I can also hear the occassional long tail boat pass by on its way to Railay. I will probably spend a good amount of time reading on the balcony enjoying the fresh ocean breeze with the sound of the ocean in the background. Today at breakfast I ran into the owner and she was very glad to see me again. We talked for awhile and she told me if I wanted or needed anything to let her know. She also told me that she brought a special mushroom and pepper only found in South Thailand and that she wanted me to ty it. I really feel lucky to be here. Then a few moments later one of the hotel staffers asked if I would like to try the special mushroom and peppers for lunch today. Of course I said yes. Each day here brings me joy and each day here is like a gift. I really hope that I will be able to come back here from time to time in the future and that it will retain its charm and wondeful staff.
