The past couple of days have been like reruns of my favorite TV show.  I have not seen or done anything new, but I have enjoyed doing things I have already done.  I have been eating good meals, kayaking, swimming, and reading or watching movies when it rains.  I have made a couple of new friends.  This is my friend who I always run into at the back restaurant.



This is the momma cat.  She always comes up to me when I eat at the back restaurant.  She will start headbutting me or meowing at me to get my attention.  Yesterday she took a nap on my lap while I was eating.  This morning she came and sat in the chair next to me.  Then she became very curious with my knee and started sniffing it like crazy.  She even lightly used her claws to move my knee closer to her.  I could feel her breath and nose all over my knee.  All the while her young kitten is jumping and playing with my other leg.  It would run up and pounce on my calf and the whole time I am trying to eat breakfast.  In the front restaurant I have made another friend.



This guy also comes and headbutts me to get my attention.  Yesterday he just jumped up on my lap and decided to sit for awhile.  So other than playing with my new friends nothing new has been going on.  Here is a look at the front restaurant.



Just behind the glass case in the background is the street.  The glass case houses the different noodles and supplies that do not need to be refrigerated.  Here is the kitchen.



To the left is the preparation area and to the right is the stove.  It is hard to believe that the best meals I have had on this trip have come from this simple outdoor kitchen.  It just proves that a good cook can cook anywhere.  For example, last night for dinner the cook made me chicken with vegetables in a soy sauce based sauce with steamed rice and a fried egg.  Another simple yet delicious meal.



So like I said things have been like a rerun over here, but I don't mind as I am loving the experience.
